Les Maitres de l’affiche were stone lithographs printed by the Chaix Imprimerie in paris between the years 1895 and 1899. The celebrated the masters of the posters of that period. Paris for 4 plates to arrive every month. The plate is in excellent condition.

Original small-format lithograph from the Les Maitres de l Affiche series, plate 20, reproducing H. G. Carqueville’s design for Lippincotts. Issued in Paris by Imprimerie Chaix in the late 1890s, this plate presents Carqueville’s cover illustration in the reduced format characteristic of the series, with the Les Maitres de l Affiche blind stamp in the lower margin. In excellent condition on linen, it is a clean, well-preserved example of American magazine advertising as presented to the European poster-collecting public.
