Gil Blas was a periodical journal in France that was founded in 1879 in Paris. A Journal of articles on Art and Culture referring to writers such as Emle Zola etc with illustrations by famous artists including a large contribution by Theophile Steinlen. Many Poems, songs and short stories with illustrations. More and more difficult to find these early publications are gems to be discovered
