Das Moderne Plakat or the Modern plate (print) by Verlag von Gerhard Kuhtmann in 1897 was the German answer to les affiches illustrees by the chaix imprimerie. The individual stone lithographic plates were done with impeccable precision and color. Truly an Art Nouveau collection of plates by the masters of posters including Toulouse Lautrec, Cheret, Stenlen, Metivet, Mucha and represents the very best of the period.
